Listen To This Thrilling Acoustic Dungeon Medley
Posted on April 24 2019 by Sean Gadus
The Legend of Zelda series is full of incredible music. From iconic character and location themes to epic battle music, the series has it all. Despite the series’ popularity, the dungeon themes are some of the most under appreciated/rated music from the franchise. These themes fill the player with a sense of mystery, foreboding, and suspense. The music is a huge part of what makes a Zelda dungeon so intense and exciting.
In this arrangement by Super Guitar Brothers, the musicians cover a few classic dungeon themes. Using only acoustic guitars, the musicians sink their teeth into the dungeon themes from A Link to the Past and Zelda II: The Adventures of Link. While the acoustic guitars are very different from the sounds heard in-game, the cover captures the mystery and dread that makes these two pieces so memorable. After listening to this, I’d love to see the Zelda franchise make use of more acoustic guitar in future Zelda games. Nintendo, make it happen!
