Spirit Tracks is a game with a complicated legacy. Some fans absolutely love the game while others believe it is a lesser Zelda experience. It seems like the only thing that most fans agree on is that the game’s music is incredible. From the opening title screen to the end credits, the game has a variety of thrilling and beautiful melodies.
While Spirit Tracks has many great songs, the “Realm Overworld” theme is by far the most iconic song from the game. In fact, this song is one of the most exhilarating tracks in the entire Zelda series. Overall, the song is a perfect example of how music creates an appropriate mood for a video game.
This violin arrangement by ViolinGamer perfectly captures the sense of adventure inherent in the piece. This version of the song layers several violins on top of each other to create a rich wall of sound. The song has an energetic tempo that makes the listener picture wild adventures and speeding trains. While the song is known for its blistering pace and energy, it also slows at certain points, trading the high speed tempo for a peaceful easy feeling.
