Listen to this Groovy Jazz Cover of Breath of the Wild’s Main Theme
Posted on July 06 2020 by Kristen G. Rosario
The sequel to Breath of the Wild feels right around the corner every single minute of every single day. But while we wait to dive into Hyrule yet again, we still have enough time to reminisce about when we originally saw the first Breath of the Wild. Who can forget when we saw the game at E3 2016 and were immediately drawn in by the amazing trailer and its equally amazing score?
The band missingNo just recently came out with this impressive jazz cover of the Main Theme from Breath of the Wild. This cover was a bit of a passion project for guitarist Eric Wettstein, who considers the game his favorite of all time. He even went so far as to make sure the “orchestral openness” of the score was translated correctly to the band’s musical style.
It has actually been quite a while since missingNo has come out with a cover, as their last one was posted nearly three years ago. In the past, they’ve covered music from Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, Super Mario Odyssey, Persona 4, Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Mario Kart 64, and Sonic 2.
What do you think of this cover? Will you be checking out any more of missingNo’s work? Let us know in the comments below!
