Listen To This Calming Medley That Remixes “Tarrey Town” With Other Beloved Favorites

Tarrey Town could be considered one of the best quests in Breath of the Wild. This amazing side quest is aptly named “From the Ground Up” and involves transforming a barren patch of land into a bustling town. After helping Bolson Construction with materials, Link must then find people of diverse races to inhabit the town. And the musical theme of Tarrey Town might be one of the most sophisticated in Breath of Wild, changing and growing with the town.
Uploaded by OverClocked ReMix: Video Game Music Community, this wonderful remix by Juke expands on Tarrey Town’s original melody by incorporating songs from across the franchise history. Juke asserts that this remix is essentially an exercise in imagining Tarrey Town in the Zelda Universe. The arrangement includes classic songs like “Kokiri Forest”, “Lon Lon Ranch” and “Castle Market”. You will also notice “Kakariko Village”, “Goron City” and “Dragon Roost Island” in the mix as well.
Overall, the song has lush instrumentation that uses a wide variety of instruments and sounds. Trombones, woodwinds, strings, piano, marimba, and drums are all blended together in satisfying ways. The combination of instruments and sounds helps the arranger to weave “Tarrey Town” and the other themes in an organic way.
