Update: Koholint Island Gets Some Recognition in this Link’s Awakening Accolades Trailer

Update: Link’s Awakening is Europe’s fastest-selling Switch title in 2019; so to celebrate, Nintendo UK has released their own accolades trailer. In similar fashion to the trailer seen above, this new trailer highlights the many positive reviews Link’s Awakening has received. You can check out Nintendo UK’s accolades trailer below.
Original: It’s been an exciting year for Zelda fans. Not only did we receive news of the next main Zelda title, but also news that Link’s Awakening would get remade for the Nintendo Switch. Since the remake’s release not too long ago, fans have been enjoying what the Big N was able to deliver. That sentiment appears to be the case with most critics as well, Nintendo just released a trailer acknowledging the title critical recognition.
Called the Accolades Trailer, this video shows the critical praise and positive reviews Link’s Awakening has been receiving for the last few weeks. The aggregate review site Metacritic currently has the game at an 88 Metascore, with user reviews sitting at an 8.6. While it’s not the highest-reviewed Zelda title on Metacritic, it still sits firmly above other ones in the series such as Four Swords Adventures, Spirit Tracks, and the HD remaster of Twilight Princess.
