In Hyrule Warriors, Some Characters will be Stage Specific

In a recent E3 2014 interview with the developers behind Hyrule Warriors, Hisashi Koinuma of Koei Tecmo has said that there are some stages in the game where you will play as different characters.
Mr. Koinuma: As you progress through the story, the characters unlock. So you’re able to play with different characters as the story progresses and most of the stages have fixed characters, so you play with certain characters depending on the stages – but then there are some stages in which you can choose which character to play as.
Does this mean that characters from their exclusive games will appear in their respectively themed stages? Perhaps Midna will have a lead role in the Twilight Palace stage revealed during the Nintendo Tree House demo. I think it’s safe to say that fans are in a for a nice surprise.
