Howl at the Moon with this Rock Cover of “Midna’s Lament”

One of the more well-known songs in the Twilight Princess soundtrack has to be “Midna’s Lament”. A song that perfectly encapsulates the feelings felt when Midna is almost taken away from Link. Most covers of this song feature an almost somber tone that reminiscent of the original score, but sometimes there’s that cover that switches the mood just enough to feel like something different.
That’s the feeling I get when hearing Husky by the Geek’s rock cover of “Midna’s Lament”. Instead of an arrangement reflecting sorrow and loss, the tune now moreso gives off feelings of darkness and revenge. Known for his rock and “10 styles” covers, Husky brings his own style (in dog cap form) to the table.
Husky has also dived into covers inspired by Ocarina of Time, A Link to the Past, The Wind Waker, and the original The Legend of Zelda. As for his other rock covers, he’s tackled series such as Final Fantasy, Super Smash Bros., Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokémon, Mega Man, and much more.
You can also check out Husky by the Geek’s album Leader of the Pack, which is available on Spotify, Deezer, Bandcamp, Amazon, and Apple Music.
