He’s Back! Link Returns to His Cameo Role in Super Mario RPG Remake

Fans of the classic Super Nintendo game Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars may recall that The Legend of Zelda‘s Link made a cameo appearance in the game, seen resting, as he’s known to do, in the Rose Town inn. Thanks to a hands-on preview for news outlets like Game Informer, we now know that, in staying faithful to the original, Link is back in the Super Mario RPG remake!
Other cameos in the original game include Samus and Donkey Kong (aptly called “Guerrilla”). Only Link and Donkey Kong’s cameos have been confirmed, though with them making an appearance, it seems inevitable that our favorite Metroid hunter will join them.
Super Mario RPG releases on November 17th, 2023 for the Nintendo Switch.
