The guys over at GameInformer are back yet again with a new episode in the Super Replay series. In honor of the 25th anniversary of the Zelda series and the upcoming release of Skyward Sword, they have decided to do a Super Replay of The Legend of Zelda. These two episodes include Ben Reeves as the special guest in part 5 and Andrew Reiner in part 6. The Super Replay team try to battle through the sixth dungeon and take the boss head on but as it turns out its not nearly as easy as you would think.

In this episode lots of humorous conversations unfold and ancient reviews are read about an old Mega Man game, while trying their best to make their way through the sixth dungeon and avoid being killed by the army of Wizrobes inside and search for the dungeon item, the Magic Wand. If you’re interested to find out if they finally conquer the dungeon and kill Gohma or if you just want to see Link commit suicide, be sure to watch the new video and read more after the jump!

Personally, I think all the Wizrobes and the amount of enemies in this dungeon are outrageous and I can see why someone would call this the hardest Zelda game ever. I seriously don’t even know if I would be able to finish it considering how hard it is for these guys. I never owned the original game but I did have the privilege of receiving The Legend Of Zelda: Collectors Edition when I bought my Gamecube years ago. I did make my way deep into the game but to be honest never made it this far and from just watching this video I can say that I’m glad I didn’t. The frustration would have probably killed me! However, I do give credit to all the patient players of this game that completed it back when it was originally released. With no cheat codes, no walkthroughs and certainly no online help, I can proudly call those who completed this title true hardcore fans of The Legend of Zelda!

While I do enjoy the Zelda games and they make their way to the top of my list of favorite video games, I can see why Eiji Aonuma has stated that he has never finished the game. Just watching the video of these guys try a replay of this game has me annoyed at how difficult it is but the laughs I got from the tons of comedy in the interesting conversations that these guys have and the never ending thoughts of “Are they going to beat it?” and “What comes next in the game?” have me anxious for more and curious about the next episode.

So what do you guys think? Would you be able to complete the game with no walkthroughs or help? Do you think its just too hard? I’m guessing you can see why Nintendo is trying to make the new games less difficult now but if you’re up for a challenge, this game is always a great one to pick up and try to fully complete! Are you watching the videos to listen to the conversations or are you actually interested in seeing the game finished?
