First 4 Figures has long since staked its name in the world of collectibles. They specialize in incredibly detailed statues of popular and cult-favorite game characters, which are rendered by individual artists. And their latest releases update the exquisite figures of our favorite Triforce bearers, Link and Zelda!

Teased a few weeks back by First 4 Figures, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild – Link (Exclusive Edition) is an updated version of 2017’s Breath of the Wild Link figure. It adds two-mode LED embellishments to its base, arrow head, and Shiekah Slate; and the packaging has gone premium to include a collector’s box, display box, and certificate of authentication with edition numbering. You can get a closer look in the trailer above, or in the detail photos at the official announcement page.

It can be preordered here for approximately $150 USD.

As this edition is a refresh of an older release, it is worth noting what you will get for your rupees. For comparison’s sake, the original Link statue (2017’s Standard Edition) was the same sculpt and retailed for about $80 USD.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild – Zelda & Link (Master Edition) bundles the new Link statue with the previously released Zelda statue (which remains unchanged from last year). The collector’s box is molded to fit the pair, and an additional certificate of authentication is included for Zelda. Seeing as how the Zelda Exclusive Edition listed for $114 USD a year ago, it may be appealing to collectors who missed her at that time.

It can be preordered here for $189.99 USD.

Aficionados will know at a glance, but it is important to note that these statues are painted PVC, not resin. And by First 4 Figure standards, they are much more widely available than the super-exclusive resin releases that define the company. Collecting resin or PVC statues and figures can be daunting, especially for newcomers. So, First 4 Figures has helpfully compiled an FAQ for prospective customers.

The quality and detail of the sculpt and color remain jaw-dropping, especially for a release that is on the “cheap” end for this company. Sculptor Narudol Rachartirach captured the bright fantasy aesthetic of Breath of The Wild beautifully. The filigree on Link’s quiver and the glow of Zelda’s Shiekah Slate are just… *chef’s kiss*.

These types of releases are always limited in quantity. However, in a nice gesture to accessibility, the company has announced a 3rd run! As of editing this post, both Link and the Link & Zelda bundle are still available.

The Exclusive Edition Link statue can be preordered here, and the Link & Zelda Master Edition box set can be preordered here. Both have an estimated release date of Q2 2021.
