Fan Artist Gives Every Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Character a Fierce Deity Makeover
Posted on September 23 2023 by Alexis S. Anderson
Last year, fan artist Stoic Seraphim set out on a mission to reimagine the entire Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster in a Fierce Deity skin. As of September 15th– everyone is here! Digitally drawing all 82 characters is an amazing feat and each one is impressive. This is what it would be like if the Fierce Deity mask was an item in Super Smash. Bros. Ultimate, changing up each character’s appearance like a souped-up Tanooki leaf. If only! Be sure to take a look at the finished product, or check out Seraphim’s Twitter for the individual artworks.

The characters are striking, particularly with the electric blues and greens highlighting each one. The attention to detail here is also to be admired. Funnily enough, Seraphim drew each of the Links last. With so many entries, it’s hard to pick just a handful of favorites but Toon Link with the King of Red Lions, Pokémon Trainer, the Inklings, Duck Hunt, and Doctor Mario really stand out to me.
Seraphim knows what the people want and has therefore started a #FierceDeityFriday tradition where Twitter users can request any character in existence be given the Fierce Deity treatment. One submission will be selected and drawn each week.

In addition to following Seraphim on Twitter, you can purchase a print of the full Fierce Deity on INPRNT if you see so inclined (prices vary depending on the size and type of material selected, but are all 15% off at the time of this publication).
What do you think of Seraphim’s depictions? Are there any other characters you would like to see Deit-ized? Share your thoughts in the comments!
