Exclusive Poster Available at Nintendo World’s A Link to the Past Graphic Novel Launch

The Nintendo World store in New York City recently announced a special launch event on May 1st for the reprint of the A Link to the Past graphic novel by Shotaro Ishinomori. As if there wasn’t enough festivities for West Coast fans to be jealous of, Nintendo World revealed through Instagram that an exclusive poster will be available to those purchasing the reprinted graphic novel. That’s right, in addition to a Q&A and a gallery of Ishinomori’s amazing artwork, the first 1,000 purchasers of the reprint will receive this exclusive poster.

It is unknown at this time what the exclusive poster will look like, but I would assume that it will feature the iconic artwork of Shotaro Ishinomori as seen in his Zelda manga. Nintendo World has stated that this poster will only be available for the first 1,000 purchasers, so don’t procrastinate too long if you’d like to get your hands on it. The launch event will take place on May 1st from 6 PM to 8 PM. It will hold a Q&A with a representative from Viz Media (the novel’s publisher), a gallery of prints by Ishinomori, and light refreshments.

Distinct from the Zelda manga by Akira Himekawa, Shotaro Ishinomori’s A Link to the Past comic, which loosely follows the story of the game, originally ran in Nintendo Power before being collected into a novel in 1993. This new edition will be the first time the novel has been reprinted since the early 90’s.
