Epic Dragon Roost Island Cover

YouTube user Sp0ntanius has created yet another musical masterpiece using his own reflection, ending his long period of inactivity. His charming recreation of Dragon Roost Island makes use of a mirror, ukulele, castanets, a bass guitar and his clapping. Much like Sp0ntanius’ previous efforts, this Zelda song cover features some nifty video editing and an unprecedented level of musical prowess. The creativity here is unmatched, and is evidenced near the end of the video when he elatedly mentions that Nintendo Power has published an article about the YouTube artist. Make the jump to watch this sensational and faithful Dragon Roost Island cover.

Sp0ntanius has previously made videos of him playing various Zelda compositions. He mixes in skillful video editing and his own unique flavor to make every video a blast to view. So far he’s played the Palace Theme using stop motion guitar, the Song of Healing on wine glasses, Saria’s Song on beer bottles, Game Over using clips of him cutting his hair and Ballad of the Wind Fish using kids’ toys. I can safely say that his being mentioned in Nintendo Power was very well deserved, and after watching his adaptation of Dragon Roost Island, you will too!
