Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma recently shared a special message with fans at PAX Australia, thanking them for their support of the franchise while also expressing his shock at the myriad ways fans are completing Breath of the Wild. He also used this opportunity to confirm that the four Champions amiibo will be available for purchase starting November 10th, and that The Champion’s Ballad DLC Pack will still be available by the end of the year. He asks fans to wait just a bit longer for an official release date as his team is working on it with great effort.

I think it’s always a good strategy for game developers to communicate directly to their fan bases. It’s one of Nintendo’s strengths, since they alternate between these types of messages, their Nintendo Directs and other avenues of communication. It’s also good to see that the Champions amiibo and Ballad DLC are still on track.

What do you think of Aonuma’s message to fans? Are you planning to purchase The Champions Ballad DLC pack? Let us know that and any other pertinent thoughts down below.
