Daily Debate: Will You Name Your Animal Crossing Island After a Zelda Location?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock lately (which, given recent events, I suppose is a possibility), you’ll know that Animal Crossing: New Horizons releases today, March 20th. Along with some awesome new additions to the player’s freedom and quality of life, a single, important question has remained constant throughout all entries in the series – what do you call your village?

Personally, I’ve always gone for the simple “name it after your home town” method. Or, as close as I could with the character restrictions. However, with this latest entry, I’m planning on something a little different – Lurelin Village, after the village of the same name in Breath of the Wild.

Is this something you would consider? How do you normally choose the name of your village? Perhaps you also go with your current real world home, or maybe you like to stretch reality a little and go for another famous videogame location?
