We see Zelda use the power of the Triforce in Breath of the Wild when the time came to seal Calamity Ganon away for 100 years. The Triforce has typically played a pivotal part in Zelda games, but it only briefly appears in Breath of the Wild, and isn’t even mentioned once. I don’t have any idea why, but I would like to think that the Triforce will play a larger part in the Breath of the Wild sequel, and this time, Link will be the one to harness it.

If you blink you might miss it, but there is a moment in the trailer where is seems Link is harnessesing the glowing green words/aura and his hand glows a familiar yellow color. Look even closer, and I’m convinced the Triforce appears on Link’s hand. We know that Zelda is traditionally the holder of the Triforce of Wisdom and we see her use her power to seal away Ganon. We also know the holder of the Triforce of Power, Ganondorf, has reawakened as well. That would only leave Link, the holder of courage to come into play. Unless we see Zelda as a playable character in the sequel, I think Link’s new power will be a new game mechanic. We don’t know what kind of power Link has recieved in the trailer, but I really hope that the Triforce plays a larger part in it all.

But what do you think? Did you see the Triforce on Link’s hand in the sequel trailer too? Would you like the Triforce to play a larger part in Breath of the Wild 2? Sound off in the comments below!
