With over two years having passed since Breath of the Wild’s release, I often find myself wondering more and more about how the game has affected me. While initially it held a pretty high place on my list of Zelda favorites, its place has gone up and down since then. Naturally that means I’ve thought a lot about why it’s proven such an elusive game for me to rank.

Instead of pondering the large reasonings however, I’d like to question some of the more minor impressions. There’s a ton of stuff Breath of the Wild does really well, and the more I contemplate, the more I realize how much of those things are pretty small. Things like Link’s animations in the inventory menu. How he shivers when he’s not wearing warm enough clothes, or how he shovels food in his mouth when you tell him to eat. This stuff may not really impact the gameplay or the story much, but as a player, I really appreciate these details.

But what about you fellows? Was there a certain piece of music that played at the perfect moment to encapsulate a victory? An item you found in the vast wilds that you never expected that came in super handy? I want to know what the smallest thing is in Breath of the Wild that had the greatest impact on you. Let everyone know in the comments below!
