Instruments are an integral part of The Legend of Zelda franchise. Nearly every incarnation of Link has some kind of instrument or another. The series has explored a vast multitude of instruments. From simple sounds blown through a blade of grass to complex stringed instruments in the shape of fish. Though not all can be played on command, they each have a purpose and their own powers.

When it comes to debating which instrument is the most powerful, I think there are only a few real contenders. There is, of course, the Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, and perhaps even the Goddess’s Harp from Skyward Sword, the eponymous instruments of their respective games. The Goddess’s Harp is used to summon items magically from walls, summon Sheikah Stones, and open gateways into the Silent Realm. The Wind Waker (though not technically an instrument) has the ability to control the wind and other objects through telepathy. Finally, the Ocarina of Time has the capability of completely shifting time itself.

In my opinion, it is this last instrument that takes the cake for powerful instrument. The Ocarina of Time can slow down, speed up, and completely skip portions of time. In the hands of the royal family, it even has the power to send someone through time to seemingly any point they want. In the wrong hands, the Ocarina of Time would be catastrophic.

Those are just my thoughts. What do you think about it? Which instrument do you think is most powerful? Which one is least powerful? Let us know in the comments!
