The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom finally comes out next year! The highly anticipated sequel to Breath of the Wild has been met with a lot of hopes, but what about fears? Today I want to discuss what your greatest fear about Tears of the Kingdom will be.

I feel in my heart that I know that the game will be spectacular. Breath of the Wild set a precedent for video games and I feel like Tears of the Kingdom will be no different. My greatest fear though comes from the fact that the Nintendo Switch, when compared to what is currently available, is an old system. I’m afraid that Tears of the Kingdom is either going to under perform or look lack-luster. Tears of the Kingdom has been in development for quite some time and it has even been delayed so it can be the best game it could be. It makes you wonder if Nintendo is developing a new system, but I would have thought if that were the case we would have heard something about it by now. For me, performance issues can taint a game’s experience. I have no doubt that Tears of the Kingdom would perform as expected on the Switch, but I would like to hope it would exceed my exceptions.

Another fear is that we don’t see much change as far as quality of life game play is concerned. Over the years at ZD many of us have voiced what we would like to see change in terms of how to make Breath of the Wild better. I hope that developers had their eyes and ears to the internet over the last few years, because I would be pretty disheartened to see Breath of the Wild re-released with just a name change, new story, and a few different mechanics. That’s not likely though.

I feel like my fears feel pretty small and maybe unfounded, but what do you think? What is your greatest fear about Tears of the Kingdom? Let us know in the comments below.
