Daily Debate: What Enemies Would You Like to See in the Zelda Movie?

Over the last three-and-a-half decades, Link has battled a lot of different monsters and enemies. I’m not sure of the total number of different enemies, but one thing is certain: they’re not going to have every one of them featured in the upcoming Zelda movie.
Here’s my list of five enemies I’d like to see make an appearance in the film:
- Keese: They’re potentially the more prominent enemy in the franchise, appearing in almost every mainline game. While I don’t see them getting a ton of time, a Zelda movie without keese just doesn’t feel right.
- Deku Baba: Its prominence in the games from 1998 to 2011 make it very recognizable among the core fanbase, and while they’re not the most exciting enemy in the games, I think the movie could spice encounters like this up pretty well.
- Darknut: I don’t think I foresee an enemy that has people screaming to bring it back more than the Darknut. At some point in this movie, Link will probably battle one in an epic sword dance, and it will just make us miss beating them in the games ourselves even more.
- Like Like: I like the odds of Like Likes making it into the film. I feel like the director and film crew (but not so much the actor) would love to script and create a scene where Link — covered in grime and ooze, tries to pull himself out of a Like Like without losing his shield in the process.
- Shadow Beast: Wishing for this enemy to make the cut and be included in the film is probably nothing more than a pipe dream, as its only found in Twilight Princess and Hyrule Warriors and is specific to a whole realm that’s exclusive to those two games. However, in a live-action Zelda movie, costume design for something like this would be so cool, and I’m sure the actors playing them would have a blast with it — I know I would!
