Daily Debate: What Do You Think of First When the Topic of Zelda Comes Up?

When the topic of Zelda comes up in conversation, there are plenty of things that come to mind.

You may automatically think of your favorite game in the franchise or you might imagine your favorite character, who may even be a NPC (Non-Player Character)! You might envision a memorable battle or remember a lesson which the games might have taught you. I would take a guess, and say one of the most common things that pop into a person’s head when the topic of Zelda comes up, is the main protagonist and hero Link!

There have been a number of variations of Link as the series of games has progressed, and each design leaves it’s own impression on the player. From Young Link to Toon Link and even including Wolf Link, there is usually one particular variation of the hero that a person conjures up when Zelda is mentioned.

For me, Young/Adult Link from Ocarina of Time is the first thing I think of when discussing Zelda. This is probably because this particular game was the first title that I experienced in the franchise.
