The Zelda series is no stranger to a good head scratcher. Plenty of the shrines in Breath of the Wild include some pretty neat little puzzles that require a little outside the box thinking while more classic titles include familiar block pushing/aligning ones. Regardless of what your favorite Zelda game is, there’s always some type of situation that attempts to bamboozle our erstwhile hero.
Throughout the years of tackling these challenges, I can’t help but wonder how it may have influenced not just the way I handle puzzles in Zelda, but also in real life too! When I was a bit younger, I had a tendency of approaching every problem very methodically and rarely if ever applied lateral thinking, even when I just couldn’t come up with an answer. That could sometimes prove to be pretty problematic when playing my favorite game series! Over time though, through pushing past these boundaries and teaching myself to not always take the straight route through trouble, Zelda has made me a better Sherlock Holmes.
But what about you Zelda fans? How have the series numerous challenges and puzzles affected your problem solving skills? Let us know in the comments below!
