Daily Debate: Do You Think Zelda Will Ever Appear In A Game As Queen?

Throughout the entire Zelda series we’ve always known Zelda as Princess Zelda, but will she ever canonically become queen? I think it would be an interesting turn for the series if the famous princess became queen, especially if it made a bigger impact on the story. If we look at the most recent Zelda title, Breath of the Wild, I could see her ascending to the throne given that her mother and her father have passed on. (I’m thinking Breath of the Wild sequel!!) It would only make sense, but one would also consider the politics of Hyrule. Is she fit to be queen? Are there rules in place that would prevent her from becoming queen?

We could examine other incarnations of Zelda in the series, in The Wind Waker, Zelda was a child, in Twilight Princess she was an adult. We could analyze every game and come up with different answers each time. I think it would be a fun spin to see the princess become queen within the story of the game. But what do you think?
