Players are able to tame a mount fairly early in Breath of the Wild. The game basically directs you to Dueling Peaks Stable where you are able to search the nearby field for a horse to call your own. Horses can come in a small variety of colors and patterns, and are the only tamable mounts in the game. I’m kind of hoping to be able to tame other kinds of mount in Breath of the Wild 2.

Why would you want a different kind of mount? Well, why not? Breath of the Wild lets you ride a variety of animals — bears, deer, horses and Stalhorses. If you were lucky you could even ride The Lord of the Mountain. I think it would be a fun and quirky addition to be able to register a different kind of mount.

I realize that horses are traditional, and maybe this idea is a bit too far-fetched, but I was often disappointed that I could not register a Stalhorse when I came across one. Being able to register a nice looking buck would be really cool too. Although I could see things like Lynels and The Lord of the Mountain being a no-go, it would be nice to have a variety of choice.

If anything, I wouldn’t mind different breeds of horses. For me, the horses patterns became a bit mundane, and the only “special” mounts that were in Breath of the Wild were the Royal White Stallion and the Giant Horse. Noted, if you had the Super Smash Bros. Link amiibo you could register Epona. I think being able to customize your loyal steed in the sequel would make the game feel more original to the player, and make riding mounts a bit more desirable too.

What do you think? Do you hope to be able to register different kinds of mounts in Breath of the Wild 2? Sound off in the comments below!
