Last November, Composer Giovanni Rotondo, known for the 8-bit Time Adventures collection of fan albums, announced a new project inspired by Tears of the Kingdom and the Stable Trotters musical troupe. In the spirit of community collaboration, Rotondo’s Stable Trotters project has provided opportunities for listeners and Zelda community members to shape aspects of the final release through a series of “Choice Quest” surveys. In the months that have followed the announcement, fans have helped decide on the album’s track list, cover art, and more.

The third of these Choice Quests recently concluded, and Rotondo has kicked off the next initiative with a few exciting updates. After offering a “heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and shared their insights,” the composer touched on the results of the latest Choice Quest:

“While I’m keeping most of the Choice Quest 3 results under wraps for now, there’s one standout preference that has united our community: stickers! It’s clear that stickers are a much-desired addition.”

Stickers, therefore, are one of the primary topics of Choice Quest 4, which you can participate in right here. Specifically, fans can offer their thoughts on design elements, special effects, shapes, and unique features. This Choice Quest will also explore preferences regarding original compositions and digital downloads.

The updates don’t stop there! Following the success of Rotondo’s recent live preview event for The Stable Trotters, the composer has announced that a second live preview will be taking place soon:

“After the positive response to our first live preview event, I’m gearing up for another one, where I’ll playback more music mock-ups for you. These early versions, created with virtual instruments, offer a glimpse into the album’s unique style. They will eventually be replaced with live musicians’ performances, bringing the full vision of ‘The Stable Trotters’ to life.”

Speaking of those live musicians, Rotondo concluded this update with a very special announcement.

Italian violinist Vanessa Cremaschi is the first musical talent announced for the Stable Trotters project. Touting her “prowess in blending classical, contemporary, and folk music,” Rotondo had the following to say about Cremaschi’s involvement:

“Please give a warm welcome to Vanessa Cremaschi, who will enchant us as Violynne the violinist. Vanessa, a remarkably skilled Italian violinist, has a flair for seamlessly merging classical styles with contemporary and folk elements. Her dynamic performances have captivated audiences throughout Italy. Vanessa’s innovative approach is evident in her diverse collaborations and unique projects, including heartfelt tributes to Gabriella Ferri and inventive blends of Mozart with iconic rock tunes. Her involvement in this album is a testament to the rich musical journey we’re embarking on.”

We’re very excited to hear Cremaschi on the final release, and we can’t wait to learn what other masterful musicians will play on The Stable Trotters.
