LEGO’s have been a toy staple for decades. Whether you played with thousands of plastic bricks yourself, saw them at a friend’s house, or perused the varied sets at a store, you’ve no doubt encountered the famous blocks at some point in your childhood. The brilliance of LEGO’s lies in their simplicity and potential for customization. If you can think of it, you can probably find a way to build it.

The simple brilliance of LEGO’s can be seen in this beautifully detailed Zelda map created by twitter user Cesar Perez. This Zelda fan used thousands of LEGO’s to create the iconic Light World map from A Link To The Past for BrickCon 2019 (an Lego-themed convention). Even in LEGO form, you can easily pick out iconic locations like Link’s house, Kakariko Village, Hyrule Castle, and The Tower of Hera. It looks like the builder spent considerable time making sure the colors correlate closely to those seen in the original SNES map.

Overall, the map is a wonderful treat for Zelda and LEGO fans. In many ways, the LEGO map reminds me of the recently released Link’s Awakening remake on Switch, which also used a “toy/figurine” aesthetic to great effect.
