As a fan, I can never get enough speed painting videos inspired by the Zelda series. A few days ago, artist Rootis Tabootus uploaded a speed painting video for a Majora’s Mask piece onto YouTube. The painting itself has a striking expressionist feel to it, and the video reveals how the artist’s original design transformed into the impressive final product.

According to Rootis Tabootus, the painting was completed in roughly 45 minutes real time. By watching the video, we can see how different the piece’s original design was to its finalized version. The original seemed to feature Tatl and Tael floating near the mask, but they are completely absent in the final work. The visual style of this painting is amazing; I really enjoy how the brush strokes and paint splotches are incorporated. The painting’s unsymmetrical nature compliments the creepy, mysterious nature of Majora’s Mask.
