Check Out the Switch’s News Channel for Free In-Game Food in Breath of the Wild

As touched on yesterday in our article that detailed a new update for Breath of the Wild, a new update on the Switch’s news channel launched today that will give players tips on how to play the game, as well as gift readers with free in-game items.
The free goods are available via a link at the bottom of the Breath of the Wild news channel. Today’s available items are not necessarily exciting, as the freebies consist of apples and meat. It seems as though one can get as much food from the link as he or she would like, unless Nintendo removes the link.
It should also be noted that the items will only spawn in-game if Breath of the Wild is in the player’s console. While this new feature is off to a rather mundane start, Nintendo could potentially expand on such a rewards system in the future. Will you be picking up the free items? Let us know in the comments!
