Caption Contest 398: Hyrule Space Program
Posted on January 15 2024 by Rod Lloyd
Get ready, Zelda fans! Another ZD Caption Contest is about to take off!
It’s been almost eight months since Tears of Kingdom hit store shelves, and I’m still dumbfounded by how many toys we have to play with in the game’s massive sandbox. Thanks to abilities like Fuse, combined with an environment full of interactive objects, the possibilities for shenanigans are near endless. So, to honor Tears of the Kingdom‘s wealth of possibility, this week’s contest features one of my earliest Fuse favorites.
Last Week’s Contest:
Snow’s been falling all over the world this past week, so Link took the opportunity to build a snowman.
Here are our photoshop caption winners:

Here are our non-photo caption winners:
- Kestron: Frosty, the Snowman! What a neutral, unfeeling soul. With a non-existent pipe and a pumpkin nose and two eyes made out of ‘cuda. Frosty, the Snowman, is a legend they say. He was fused of snow and the Hero knows how he came to life that day.
- Evotar Lavos: Link: Oh! I have an idea! Let’s combine Christmas and Halloween!
Jack Skellington: “That’s a horrific idea! I’ll be Sandy Claws!” - IceRod: That snowman’s face…. And I thought Gloom Hands were scary (okay, they still are)!
This Week’s Contest:
*Cue the Superman theme.
Here are the guidelines:
- Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
- If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
- Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
- Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another… and that’s OK.
- Have fun and be creative!
Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and, who knows? Maybe you will be one of next week’s winners.
