Caption Contest 281: “Mewtwo, use Psychic!”
Posted on December 14 2020 by Rod Lloyd
What’s this?! A wild Zelda Dungeon Caption Contest has appeared!
The 2020 Game Awards took place last week, celebrating the best titles of the year and offering a sneak peek at the big titles we can expect in the years to come. But for the ZD team, the highlight of the show came when Sephiroth, the one-winged angel himself, was announced as the next DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. So, with such a welcome, welcome surprise, it seemed appropriate to take a break from all the Age of Calamity images this week and instead highlight screenshot from Sephiroth’s epic debut trailer.
Last Week’s Contest:
We shined the spotlight on Master Kohga last week.
Here are our photoshop caption winners:
By: Multificionado
By: Emily Curtis
Here are our non-photo caption winners:
- Dylan: ???: “Lights! Camera…MASTER KOGHA!!!” *Master Kogha starts to sing showtunes*
- Olive H: *starts singing* Into the unknooooooooown!
- IceRod: “So see if you have heard this one. A Zora, a Goron, and a Hylian walk into a bar….”
- Chevywolf30: *Sweet Victory starts playing*
- Ethan Hunt: “Does anyone dare challenge me to a … Dance Off?!”
This Week’s Contest:
And who says the Sephiroth announcement had nothing to do with Zelda?
Here are the guidelines:
- Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
- If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
- Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
- Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another… and that’s OK.
- Have fun and be creative!
Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and, who knows? Maybe you will be one of next week’s winners.
