Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII is Coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate!

Revealed in an epic and suspenseful trailer, Sephiroth from FINAL FANTASY VII is making his way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate! Kicking off the 2020 Game Awards with a bang, the announcement marks the second FINAL FANTASY and third Square Enix character to make their way into the Smash Bros. franchise.
The trailer really does Sephiroth justice, packed with cinematics reminiscent of the FINAL FANTASY VII: Advent Children animated film, even spoofing his famous stab. What’s more, the trailer concludes with an epic clash between Sephiroth and Cloud Strife, which sees the one-winged angel transforming into his ultimate boss form.
Sephiroth will be joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate later this month. Nintendo has also announced a Sephiroth-centric presentation hosted by Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai for December 17th at 2PM PST; the character’s release date will be revealed during the presentation.
