Awesome Zelda PC Case Mod!

It is amazing what you can find in your average Reddit visit. Two weeks ago we reported on an impressive LEGO Hylian Shield, and today the front page of the internet has brought us another Zelda fan’s incredible creation. This time, the item in question–a wooden treasure chest–functions beyond simply being aesthetically impressive; it also housed a fully functional computer. Make the jump to see!

According to its creator, Redditor Slash_Fury, this PC case mod is made mostly out of oak plywood with brass trim, and I have to say it looks pretty impressive. One of its coolest features (beyond the fact that it is a Zelda computer) is the fact that when the chest is opened, a string of yellow LED lights turn on and the iconic “item get” sound is played. Now that’s pretty cool. You can take a look at some pictures of the case mod and the building process below.

Unfortunately, Slash_Fury has stated that he had to disassemble the computer itself and donate the parts to his dad. Still, it is a cool project nonetheless and he has earned the respect of many a Zelda fan for his creation, myself included.

How do you like this PC case mod? Would you make something like this if you had the resources? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
