Red Tektites are recurring enemies in The Legend of Zelda series. They are one of many variants of the Tektite, which include Blue Tektite, Golden Tektite, and larger boss enemies including Rocktites. In most games, the Red Tektite and the Blue Tektite are interchangeable with no differences. In some titles, the Red Tektites are weaker and take less hits to defeat than their Blue Tektite counterparts.

The Minish Cap

In The Minish Cap, Red Tektites appear on Mt. Crenel Base and on Mt. Crenel. They will hop around and when Link is nearby, will attempt to jump and land on top of him. After each hop, they will stop to rest for a few moments. The Red Tektites do minimal damage and take two sword slashes with the Smith's Sword to defeat.

The Blue Tektite counterparts in The Minish Cap are stronger, taking three strikes to defeat. Additionally, they will hop three times before needing to stop to rest.
