Spoilers are a very common thing these days. To many die-hard video game fans of various franchises, being an internet frequenter can be very difficult prior to the release of a new series installment, if they want to avoid having things from the new game spoiled. As for us Zelda fans, things are just the same, if not worse. With the release date of Zelda Wii U possibly being revealed in soon, content from the game, even entire game synopses,…

Never fear—this isn’t a post that is going to be spoiling anything. Instead I am here to talk about the real enjoyment that can be had by spoiling a game. Not in the sense of us “ruining” the game for folks, but in the real logical sense why there are so many that want to have the game spoiled for them. You all know who you are, and when it comes to Zelda I am right along with you. The StreetPass feature in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is one of the more brilliant implementations of the StreetPass system, especially when compared to how it is used in some other games (Resident Evil: Revelations comes to mind). Every StreetPass you receive gives you a Shadow Link to fight in the game. When you defeat him, you get a reward of rupees. But what truly makes it fun is the set of achievements that they implemented. These include things such as defeating Shadow Link without taking any damage, defeating him in under ten seconds, and so on.

So what happens when you complete every achievement on the list? Head inside to find out (with footage!).
