The StreetPass feature in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is one of the more brilliant implementations of the StreetPass system, especially when compared to how it is used in some other games (Resident Evil: Revelations comes to mind). Every StreetPass you receive gives you a Shadow Link to fight in the game. When you defeat him, you get a reward of rupees. But what truly makes it fun is the set of achievements that they implemented. These include things such as defeating Shadow Link without taking any damage, defeating him in under ten seconds, and so on.

So what happens when you complete every achievement on the list? You are given the opportunity to fight Gramps himself! The reward he gives you for beating him is a meager five rupees, but it is worth it for his explanation alone.

The Gramps fight is nothing Earth-shattering, but it’s a fun little aside, and a great conclusion to an already great StreetPass implementation. Developers should take note. This is how StreetPass looks when it is done right.
