484px-Hyrule_Warriors_Link_Art_2When asked about the different changes in the next Zelda that were addressed in the last Nintendo Direct presentation, Aonuma told the interviewer, “When I was talking about making Zelda more than just a single-player experience? That’s something you will see in the future, maybe next year.” Players can now assume the next Zelda game in the main series will more than likely feature a multiplayer function.

Aonuma also included that instead of the traditional split-screen function used for most multiplayer games, the game would use the Wii U’s hardware and make it so that one player is on the GamePad and the other is on the television. This is similar to the Dynasty Warriors series where the functionality changed due to the second screen on the GamePad.

This interview also consisted of many other details, including original characters, puzzle elements, and more. Click here for the full interview by Game Informer.
