Zelda Monopoly Now Available for Preorder

Slowly but surely, the Zelda franchise is gaining more popularity in merchandise. USAopoly in association with Hasbro, announced back in April that they would be releasing a Legend of Zelda themed Monopoly board in their line of products. This Hylian board game is set to be released on September 15. Currently, GameStop is among the first of retailers now accepting preorders with the exception of some exclusive preorder bonuses that you won’t find anywhere else.

Just to clear any confusion, these images from GameStop are currently the only ones available. As such, the following are GameStop preorder exclusives: the custom green square box shown below, Ocarina token, an 11″x17″ Hyrule Map Lithograph in the Treasure Chest Holder, and 6 Item Power Cards (for additional game play); Goddess Harp, Wind Walker, Minish Cap, Spirit Flute, Phantom Hourglass, Ocarina of Time. This GameStop exclusive edition is set to cost $39.99 USD.

According to GameStop’s listing, items you can expect in both the normal and GameStop versions are:

5 collectible tokens: Bow, Hookshot, Boomerang, Triforce, Hylian Shield, Houses renamed Deku Sprouts, Hotels renamed Deku Trees, Chance and Community Chest cards are renamed Empty Bottle and Treasure Chest, Custom Deed Cards, Zelda themed money, and Custom rules including Item Card instructions.

Although we currently only have images from GameStop’s exclusive edition, it’s safe to assume normal versions will still include the same the pieces aside from GameStop’s exclusive bonuses. Plan on preordering GameStop’s exclusive edition? Let us know in the comments below!
