Tunic, a Zelda-like action-adventure title developed by Andrew Shouldice and published by Finji, is coming to Nintendo Switch on September 27th! What’s even better: you can preorder Tunic today via Nintendo Switch shop.

Tunic is an adorable 3D, top-down-style adventure game starring a fox with an outfit that looks like our favorite hero, Link! I personally have been playing Tunic for some time now, and seeing this game come to Switch makes me super excited for those who have not yet played it. The game takes a lot of inspiration from other Zelda games, but as I’ve been playing, I see the most inspiration taken from the original Legend of Zelda game. Without spoiling any late-game elements, the game does drop you into the world without much direction, much like The Legend of Zelda. There are many items, dungeon elements, and enemies that make me see the Zelda similarities. Despite being dropped into the world with very little instruction, the game is incredibly easy to pick up and play.

Are you still on the fence about giving Tunic a try? Zelda Dungeon did a very detailed review with more information about the game. The review features pictures, gameplay information and more. So if you’re on the fence give the review a read, but if you want my recommendation, Tunic is worth a play through for any fan of the Zelda series. Interested in knowing more about Tunic? Be sure to check out The Zelda Cast’s interview with lead developer Andrew Shouldice! Zelda Dungeon has covered this game quite a bit, so if you want a good indy game to play, check out Tunic!

Will you be checking out Tunic later this month? Have you already played Tunic? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
