If you’re like me, you’re constantly listening to lo-fi music while you work. Being the desk jockey I am, things can alternate between boring and hectic at the drop of a hat, so lo-fi tends to have me covered on both fronts. I have the downbeat nature of it to keep my attention while also providing me with a soothing melody that helps to alleviate any stress that might get piled on throughout the day. Since discovering the genre, I’ve found that some of my favorite lo-fi tracks are covers of popular video game music, and as you can probably guess, many pieces of music from Zelda are a perfect fit.

YouTube musician Eluzai proves my point with a very cool rendition of “Great Fairy’s Fountain”. For those new to the franchise, this is a recurring theme throughout the series that’s played when Link enters one of the many titular fountains in need of healing. That particular sentiment is appropriate given the vibe that Eluzai’s take on the theme has. I’ve already added it into my regular rotation of tracks to help me zen out and get through my day. He’s really captured the essence of the piece while putting his own stamp on it for sure.

If you like what you’ve heard here, be sure to give the rest of Eluzai’s channel a look.

So what did you think of this lo-fi version of “Great Fairy’s Fountain”? Are you feeling calmer after listening to Eluzai’s remix? Let us know in the comments below!
