Zelda Fanart Spotlight – The Time Has Come

Today’s Zelda Fanart Spotlight is on deviantART artist, The-Silver-Flame‘s Ocarina of Time fanart, “The Time Has Come“. This fanart depicts an area that appears twice in the game. First it appears in Link’s dream sequence at the very beginning and then later on once Link has acquired all of the spiritual stones and is headed to see Princess Zelda.

The area that is depicted is the entrance to Hyrule Castle Town. The area around here is usually bright, cheery, and peaceful but as with both times this scene appears, Ganondorf has finally made his move to conquer Hyrule and he will soon appear on his horse as he is in pursuit of the fleeing Princess Zelda and Impa.

The scene is shown exactly how I remember it being in the game. The scene perfectly shows that something horrible is going down and that Hyrule isn’t going to be the same place anymore. I love the colors that the artist used to create the scene. It helps make it come to life and lets you truly feel the impending doom that is about to take place.
