Zelda Fanart Spotlight – Ocarina of Time Ganon Battle

Today’s Zelda Fanart Spotlight is a piece of fanart created by Deviantart artist LeoDiamond titled: ‘Ocarina of Time Ganon Battle‘. As the aforementioned title says this fanart features the climatic battle that occurs between Link and Ganon at the very end of the Zelda game, Ocarina of Time.

The way that the artist portrayed the scene is really amazing. The background fits the dark and sombre moment perfectly. The distorted purple smoke, the lighting crackling in the air, and the deadened trees all add to the serious mood that pervades the scene. Link’s certainly got one major battle ahead of him. The only things he has to lose is his life, Princess Zelda, and entire land and people of Hyrule…

…but no pressure, right?

The only error I noticed in this picture is that in the game Princess Zelda isn’t in the crystal during this particular battle, but it’s not a big problem. It’s still a wonderful piece of fanart regardless.
