Zelda Fanart Spotlight: I Will Wait For You – Scrapper Skyward Sword

Today’s Zelda Fanart Spotlight is on deviantART artist Shattered-Earth‘s Skyward Sword fanart, “I Will Wait For You – Scrapper Skyward Sword“. In this fanart it shows two characters from the game, Fi (as the Master Sword) and Scrapper, the robot who is infatuated with her. At the end of Skyward Sword, Fi enters a deep sleep now that her duty is officially done. Scrapper apparently has found out about this and goes to be with her. He decides to stay there with her until she returns so that way they could be together again.

He would wait for her forever.

I found this to be a really sweet piece of fanart. I always found the pairing of Fi and Scrapper to be sweet. Granted I did find the little ancient robot to be annoying at times I still thought that the attraction he felt towards Fi was cute. I remember when I beat the game that I found myself wondering what would happen to Scrapper now that Fi was gone. I was sure that they’d show some kind of reference to him trying to find her during the ending, but apparently they didn’t. Poor Scrapper…
