Zelda Dungeon Wiki Officially Launched

Today we are officially launching the Zelda Dungeon Wiki! This is an encyclopedia for everything Zelda related and it is used to complement many of the guides we have here at Zelda Dungeon. We are constantly going to be interlinking our site content with wiki articles over the next several months with pages like our Skyward Sword Enemies being a perfect example. We are going to change our listing type guides to only have a brief description of the particular enemy, character, or item, followed by a link to the full blown Wiki article. The wiki articles will go into more depth and cover the enemy across the spectrum of multiple games. Some examples of pages we are working on at the wiki include our Deku Baba and Bokoblin articles.

We’ve had the Wiki opened for a few months already, but much of the work was done behind the scenes. We’ve recently put significantly more effort into the project with David, site administrator and webmaster of Pokemon Dungeon, creating a brand new theme that matches our current site layout. One of our Wiki administrators Matt has also helped significantly by setting many of the initial templates and steps needed for a Wiki to strive. These two guys, along with our first editors have caused the Wiki to surpass 100 articles in just a few days! In order for our Wiki to grow and become a success we are going to need you, the fans. Jump inside to see how you can take part and even become a member of the Zelda Dungeon staff team.

The first thing you can do is head on over to the Zelda Dungeon Wiki and register an account. It takes just a few seconds and then you are ready to edit. Afterwards you can help in the creation of new pages at the Wiki, as well as editing pages that have already been made. Given this is a brand new Wiki there are so many entries that need to be made and plenty of details that needed to be added. We have to start somewhere, so just pick a section and have at it!

We are eventually going to hire full time Wiki Content Managers. These folks will serve as editors of the Wiki, managers of specific sections of the Wiki, as well as site staff members that work to interlink the site content and wiki content whenever applicable. Wiki Content Managers will be full blown staff members that will have an entry on our staff page, along with being able to appreciate the many perks that come with being a Zelda Dungeon staff member.

Wiki Content Managers will be chosen by our current team of Wiki administrators and they will be based on the quality and quantity of edits to the Wiki over a period of time. So bottom-line, if you want to become a member of the Zelda Dungeon team and make an impact immediately, then head on over to the Wiki and start editing. We look forward to working with you to help make this the best Zelda encyclopedia that it can be.
