We are getting close to the release of Super Smash Bros. on 3DS, and the official website has been updated with some music snippits from the 3DS version, including the music from the Spirit Tracks stage. There are also some hints as to what other Zelda music might be in the game. Listen to the music and see some details after the jump!

Adam Scythe, a devoted and very talented artist in the fanart community, just made this beautiful painting of Link and Zelda from Spirit Tracks.

He’s made tons of other Zelda fanart pieces, like this great painting of Zelda U-style Link and Ocarina of Time Link, as well as this completely unrelated (but still awesome) painting of Deadpool.

Check out a video of his painting process after the jump!

Hello everybody! This is another installment of Zelda Artist Exposition—the series where I feature a Zelda fan artist. The goal is to boost the recognition of their talents. Suggestions for features are always welcome; just leave a comment. The artist of the day is SeaboardBlue.

We’ve been fairly swamped since Monday (thanks Nintendo!) and as such we’re a bit behind on the Zelda Versus polling for Best Soundtrack. I promise to get us back on track starting today. We’ll be running two of these polls tomorrow (one in the morning, one at night) to try and compensate. That being said today we have The Adventure of Link taking on Spirit Tracks in a round one matchup for best soundtrack. Which way are you going to vote?

Nintendo news collector NintenDaan has tweeted many details on Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day, the first DS game to be released on Wii U Virtual Console in Japan. This could very well be an indication that Nintendo will announce more DS games on it at E3, including Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. Hit the jump for several tweets with details on the game and how the console handles it.

Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, the old online multiplayer service that Nintendo used for the Wii and DS systems, has now officially been shut down. From now on, any Wii, DS or DSi online features will be unavailable, including those of Phantom Hourglass. Read more of the details after the jump.

Had you asked me a month ago what my favorite dungeon of the Zelda series was, I highly doubt that I would have chosen this one. Not because I don’t love it, obviously – heck, I’ve chosen it now, haven’t I? – but more because my focus has always been on the 3D games. From my first time playing Ocarina of Time to my latest run-through of Skyward Sword, the worlds and the gameplay of those have always enthralled me far more than the top-down look of handhelds and earlier titles. But when I ran through the list of dungeons from across the entire series, weighing each one’s merits and charms and difficulties and disappointments, I surprised myself by continually coming back to the Tower of Spirits.

Delve into this massive dungeon with me after the jump!

Welcome back to another edition of Milk Bar Mornings! Today we will be looking at some music that is for once not in the actual games, but rather something that you could (with some practice) play at home. We will be looking at some of the tracks from the Zelda Series for Guitar book, a sheet music book containing, as the name suggests, various themes from the series. Now you might be wondering, “How could you possibly analyze those pieces?…

Clay Miniblin

Who here hates Miniblins? I sure did in The Wind Waker. Truthfully, those annoying cretins gave me more trouble than Darknuts. I could dodge and weave all I wanted, but a horde of Miniblins could always land a blow. However annoying these creatures are, they still stand as a distinct trademark of the Adult timeline. Commemorating their wickedness, reddit user, bulletproofheart6, sculpted a complete clay model of a Miniblin. Hit the jump to view the carving!

Two female companions face off as Medli from The Wind Waker takes on Zelda from Spirit Tracks. Zelda’s spirit went on to help Link in many situations, while Medli offered some excellent advice and great plot points throughout one of The Wind Waker‘s fantastic dungeons. Who will take the final spot in the semifinals? Head inside to vote!
