If you are a fan of the Smash Bros. series, there’s a good chance that you’ve seen the 5-minute video that Nintendo released today to show off the features of the 3DS version. However, a closer look at the trailer will reveal a character that they probably hadn’t intended to show off at this point in time. Hit the jump to learn more!

Hyrule Warriors, Super Smash Bros and much more will be at this years Oz Comic Con in Brisbane and Sydney Australia. What does this mean for us in the States you might ask? Well not much unless you like to travel. It does mean that my friends in the bush will get there hands on a couple of this years most anticipated drops for Nintendo.

Masahiro Sakurai, in his last Miiverse post on Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, showcased a new picture of returning character Zelda with a massive change in one of her key attacks.

The usual strategic, remote-controlled orb of fire that we’ve seen since Super Smash Bros. Melee hasn’t exactly been replaced; it seems to be much stronger, exploding with a much larger range, and encompassing the target in its entirety. From what we see in the photo, it works in pretty much the same way nevertheless, although Sakurai’s words seem to add a more strategic aspect to the attack:

Immediately after its announcement during today’s Nintendo Direct, the website for the new Smash Bros. game is already live! With the site, there are specific pages focusing on each revealed character including in-game images for both the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game. A parody notion that was bound to happen at some point: we now have a supposed trailer for a live action Smash Bros. Fight Club. Of course, it’s just a joke, but it’s definitely an amusing one at that, especially for those who have seen Fight Club as it is nearly a shot for shot remake of some key scenes from that film… but now with Nintendo characters!
