In case the Zelda CD-i games needed to be  ostracized even further than they already have been, Zelda series Director Eiji Aonuma has explained why the often-mocked trilogy wasn’t mentioned in Hyrule Historia, the art book meant to provide a comprehensive history of all things Zelda. Aonuma apparently believes the games simply don’t fit in.

The folks over at Ology have recently posted an article entitled Picture This: The Cheesiest Game Graphics. On the listing we find some rather obscure titles such as Bubsy 3D and Fight For Life, where there are also well-know awful titles such as Superman 64 and ET. So what does this have to do with Zelda? Those of you who are subscribed to the Zelda Dungeon YouTube Channel might already know this, but we have recently begun a Video Walkthrough for one of the Philip’s Cd-i Zelda titles, The Wand of Gamelon. All of us have, at one time or another, looked back at the Legend of Zelda games that we’ve played, when we remember our first Zelda experiences, the troublesome dungeons, and the overall fun we had. Thanks to everybody that came out and watched our live stream today. Overall it was quite a successful playthrough of Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon. I ended up completing the game in just about 6 hours… while also reaching a death count of around 200.
