I’ve been waiting for this one for a long time, and now finally the moment has arrived to wonder: who is the Link in Majora’s Mask? Well, yes, to almost all Zelda fans it is common knowledge that the Link in Majora’s Mask is in fact the same Link from Ocarina of Time, and is still, essentially, the Hero of Time. But, he is, in fact, different. I’ve got your attention now, haven’t I? Well, keep reading if you want…

Requested by hyourinmaru Following up from last week’s look at The Wind Waker‘s title theme, this week I have elected to look at another excellent piece of title screen music from the Zelda series: Majora’s Mask‘s theme. As one of the darker and more unique Zelda games, Majora’s Mask has a lot of contrasts throughout its world that play on the theme of light and dark. Not to be left out, its music follows suit and the title theme is…

Welcome to Majora’s Memes, where we bring you memetic madness weekly! Like scouring Hyrule Field for bushes that hopefully contain Rupees or bombs or arrows, we search the Internet for Zelda-related laughs. And wow, you guys really stepped it up this week! We have a lot of memes contributed by users this week, so yellow rupees will be distributed to blue, Tito Burgess, Merv?, smallchocolatebar, RubyDragonCat, and Link. With the help of these contributions, this may very well be the…

One of the most notable icons of Majora’s Mask is the moon. Whether you are playing, watching someone else play, looking at pictures, or simply talking about the game someone always mentions the moon. How could you not? It is one of the central focuses of the game. Whenever you look in the sky it is staring down at you while it gets closer and closer to Termina as the days pass by. The face on the moon adds a…

Welcome to Majora’s Memes, where we bring you memetic madness weekly! Like scouring Hyrule Field for bushes that hopefully contain Rupees or bombs or arrows, we search the Internet for Zelda-related laughs. This week we saw better response to the request for help finding those laughs. Special thanks to Bear, Maeta Harunai, and Hero of Time for contributing. Unfortunately, we did not use Bear’s. We try to maintain at least a level of family-friendliness here. Granted, this is the Internet,…

Welcome to Majora’s Memes, where we bring you memetic madness weekly! Due to a scheduling hiccup, we’re posting a day late, but better late than never! Like scouring Hyrule Field for bushes that hopefully contain Rupees or bombs or arrows, the Internet is searched for Zelda-related laughs. This week, we don’t have as many as we have in past weeks, but we think these finds are as good as any! To start this week off, here’s a twist on an…

Majora’s Mask is a unique experience within the Zelda series. While it may be considered dark because it strays from the traditional Zelda atmosphere, Twilight Princess and A Link to the Past are also dark titles when compared to other Zelda games, yet they don’t feel different the way Majora’s Mask does. The game begins with Link being attacked by the Skull Kid and having his precious Ocarina stolen from him. With no other choice, Link teams up with Tatl…

Well, you’ve probably noticed that there’s been a delay in me writing this. It’s been four weeks since I reviewed Stone Tower Temple, and to be honest I wasn’t sure I was going to review Majora’s Mask’s mini-dungeons. Like I alluded to in my similar review for Ocarina of Time, some people consider certain areas in the Zelda games to be dungeons that I do not. For an area to really be a dungeon in a Zelda game, I believe…

There have been a few debates on the actual intent of the Skull Kid in Majora’s Mask and if he was truly evil or not in the past. Well in the latest update of the webcomic Brawl in the Family we get to see a humorous take on the Skull Kid first getting his hands on Majora’s Mask and starting trouble. Only the mask and the Skull Kid have differing opinions on how they should do it. Jump in to…

Dorkly recently posted a new video called “Goodnight, Termina Moon” in the art style of A Link to the Past. The video is a line-for-line parody of the childrens’ book Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown which many adults have probably been read in their childhood. Link is asleep in the Stock Pot Inn while the narrator describes the items in the room, even the strange hand sticking out of the toilet in a calm, soothing voice. Looks like Links…
