Thank you, Nate, for covering for me in my absence last week. I really enjoyed everyone’s responses to Ben as well as the Deku captions this week. This feature continues to be a favorite of mine as each week passes, with you all posting funnier and more creative captions. I have full confidence that this week will continue that trend. Majora’s Mask 3D comes out this Friday, and our friend here is having a hard time waiting these last few days. So tell us, ZI fans…

If you are looking to get anything with your copy of

Majora’s Mask 3D on the 13th, it’s probably best to pick it up as soon as possible. This has been made apparent with both the collector’s edition of the game as well as the special edition new 3DS handheld console. The latest product to follow this trend is the Collector’s Edition: Hardcover Prima Game Guide on Amazon. The item recently snagged the #1 spot on Amazon’s hot seller list in the Video & Electronic Game Books category, followed closely by the standard paperback edition of the guide at #4. You can still register…

For those of you in the UK who plan on getting Majora’s Mask 3D and a ‘new’ 3DS, Nintendo is offering you a special promotion that you would be crazy not to take advantage of. Those who purchase and/or register their new handheld console and copy of the game by February 28th will receive a free and exclusive Skull Kid figurine (shown above). This promotion applies to all ‘new’ 3DS owners in the UK, no matter the version, so you aren’t being overlooked if you are a ‘new’ 3DS Ambassador. In fact, if you are a registered ambassador…

GameSpot is back with just shy of an hour of gameplay footage from Majora’s Mask 3D. Alexa Ray Corriea and Jeremy Jayne play through some really great content that continues to bring the hype for the game. I think it goes without saying that this video contains spoilers for the game, but I’ll remind you here just in case. This video contains spoilers for Majora’s Mask 3D. If you aren’t worried about spoilers, there is some really great content to be seen above. Alexa plays through the Alien Invasion and a battle against the boss of the Great Bay TempleGyorg, along with some other…

Generally speaking, we’re pretty positive around here when it comes to Majora’s Mask. Not only is it a favorite of our staff members, but in our polls it nearly always comes out on top. As such, we tend to forget that there are other opinions out there regarding the Ocarina of Time sequel, and often gloss over them when they pop up. In order to remind fans like us that there are other ways to see this entry, Unpopular Opinions creator, Trailer Drake, has dedicated the most recent entry to voicing ten opinions…

Over the weekend we reported about a series of Majora’s Mask 3D demo events in select stores across Canada. Within this announcement, Nintendo hinted that more retailers would have similar events and it seems that we’ve learned the first of these. Those of you in the United States will be able to try out the remake on Nintendo’s new handheld for one day only at various GameStop stores throughout the country.  Not all stores are participating, however, so we recommend that you check to see…

GameXplain just uploaded a video showing off one of the more unexpected changes in Majora’s Mask 3D, impacting the swimming controls: essentially, swimming in this game will be about half the speed of the original, to make it a lot easier to control, especially in the cramped environments of the Great Bay Temple.

You can still reach the original speed, though: if you use the shield attack with the R-button, you’ll move as fast as you did originally, although at the cost…

With fewer than three weeks until the release of Majora’s Mask 3D and the New 3DS XL in North America and Europe, the coveted remake and handheld console are only just out of reach.  While some lucky individuals have been able to try out both at media events, the general public has had little, if any chance to give them a try.  Luckily for our fans in Canada, Nintendo is amending this issue by bringing the two, along with Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, to various Best Buy and Future Shop stories in various cities throughout…

Remakes have been weighing heavily on the minds of Zelda fans lately. From those of use here at Zelda Informer who want to know if remakes are done too much, to our fellow gamers at Game Informer who can’t help but wonder what’s next after Majora’s Mask, all are curious about what game will be getting made over for a new system for another batch of fans waiting to experience it. It is, however, well-known that those who most fervently wish for remakes are those who love the originals, even over a decade after their releases. Does that love still remain once fans’ wishes for a fresh version of an old adventure come true?

Target.com has updated their website by adding a page for the Majora’s Mask new 3DS XL. The page does have the “pre-order now” box grayed out indicating that they are not currently available. However, according to one reddit user, multiple Target representatives have stated that “the item will be back”, but wouldn’t say when. Some have stated that Nintendo has never explicitly said that the console was a limited edition and this user has suggested that the Target employees may be eluding to a second wave release of the console. While this is not a likely scenario, it is nice to hear that some stores are hopeful that they will be getting more…
