It would appear as if the boxart for The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes has received an update. The official Nintendo website is now featuring an updated version of the original boxart for the game that was released at E3. If you recall the original art simply featured the three Link’s posed in front of a simple gold background. The latest boxart now shows off an image that is a variation of the artwork that was released at Gamescom,…

With all the Tri Force Heroes hype in the air right now, it’s gotten us Zelda fans waiting impatiently for its release in late October. If you’re lucky, you may have already gotten the chance to play the game at an event or a convention, but for the rest of us, it’s a case of playing the waiting game. We’ve heard nothing but good things about Tri Force Heroes ever since its reveal at E3 back in June, and it comes as no surprise that the game won Best Handheld Game of Gamescom 2015 after being nominated

Excited for release date announcements for games showcased at E3 2015? Nintendo has finally revealed the date for the upcoming game, Tri Force Heroes, along with their official press release regarding European gaming event, Gamescom.  The 3DS game, playable at Gamescom this year, will release in European territories and in North America on October 23rd of this year…

Nintendo’s controversial E3 came and went, giving dedicated fans a chance to play all the freshly-announced games Nintendo currently has in development. As we were present on the show floor, we got the chance to play the upcoming 3DS Zelda title, Tri Force Heroes, and form some first impressions. Many fans, however, did not have the chance to give the title a try, especially those living outside the United States…

It goes without saying that conferences often drive up sales and pre-orders in the gaming industry. If this marketing tactic weren’t true, companies would see no reason in even spending the money to participate in them. It would make sense that Amazon would see an increase in pre-orders after the Gamescom conference held in Germany last week, but the statistics are not what anyone expected. With games like Destiny and the always popular Call of Duty games on the horizon, nobody expected Nintendo, who didn’t even hold a press conference…

2013 Gamescom has come and gone, being the biggest Gamescom of all time. People came from all over the world to attend the massive convention, which had about 23% more people than last year’s. While the focus point was mostly Activision’s Destiny, Nintendo also took home a few awards for themselves, including one for the brand new Zelda title, A Link Between Worlds. Gamescom 2013 has rewarded gamers with many interesting pieces of information as well as trailers and videos. While “videos” may sound somewhat broad, it’s intended to be. Gamers attending the event as well as journalists have taken advantage of the opportunities presented to them and filmed some off-screen footage of highly anticipated games.

In one recent video from GameSpot, footage of Hyrule Castle from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD displays just how beautiful the sunken castle looks brought to HD, and even highlights many new features the Nintendo Wii U brings to the remake.

Here I thought we would make it through Gamescom without anything noteworthy besides a few glimpses of demo footage we’ve already seen. Boy, was I wrong. We now have a treasure trove of new information that may just make you a believer if you were still on the fence in regards to getting The Wind Waker HD. I know what you’re thinking: there is absolutely no new content, so why would you even consider it?

Fair point, but then again that’s not technically true either. In fact, a new part has been added to the main quest! On top of that we just learned about a kick ass FPS mode that may have just showed why the GamePad is better than standard Dual Stick controllers for shooting games, the exact details on the changes for the Triforce quest, and of course all the information you could possibly want about the Hero Mode. Step inside if you dare!

Yesterday we posted some footage from the Gamecom 2011 event that is being held in Germany. The footage in that video showed off the Skyward Sword Bird Riding Demo as well as the Boss Demo. The same folks today have another video, but this time showing the dungeon portion of the demo. We do get to hear the music from the Temple quite clearly as well as Link’s sound effects. We also get to see Link get a piece of…
