This year’s Nintendo Digital Event was interesting to say the least. Not only did we get a true confirmation of Hyrule Warriors‘ 3DS port, named Hyrule Warriors: Legends, but Nintendo decided to surprise us with an entirely new and unexpected title name Tri Force Heroes. After a first trailer, we witnessed Aonuma speak to the game’s director, Hiromasa Shikata. Then, after the event had finished, we enjoyed a gameplay demo from the good…

We’ve seen screenshots, trailers, and gameplay for Tri Force Heroes in an almighty rush today, but one thing has been on all our minds here at Zelda Informer: the lack of box art. What will it look like? Who will it feature? Finally, we can happily say that the box has been revealed, and it is better than we expected…

During the Tri Force Heroes gameplay at the Nintendo Treehouse event, it was shown that during a multiplayer match, all players share the same heart pool.

This means that you’ll have to be extra careful…

Right after Nintendo’s Digital Event finished, a separate page for Tri Force Heroes, Nintendo’s newest title, was revealed boasting tons of new screenshots and listing all the planned features.

Here is a list of everything revealed on the website:

Hyrule Warriors 3DS, which has now been officially named Hyrule Warriors: Legends, has now received its own web page on Nintendo’s E3 website. It includes new details on the game, such as the fact that the game will include all content from the Wii U version. Hyrule Warriors: Legends will also feature all new story content, it also will not be a New Nintendo 3DS exclusive, and you will be able to instantly switch between different heroes on the battlefield…

Nintendo announced two Zelda games during today’s Digital Event, one of which is Tri Force Heroes, an all new multiplayer focused entry in the visual style of A Link Between Worlds. Immediately after the Digital Event finished, Nintendo updated their website, introducing a Tri Force Heroes page which prominently features a royal amount of screenshots. You can check them all out in the gallery below…

In a recent IGN interview, Shigeru Miyamoto stated that he was there to show off Starfox, and not Zelda U. However, he revealed that the game is still planned to release on the Wii U, as there was previous fan speculation that it may be delayed until the NX is released. He also hinted that there is some “really great” footage of Zelda U that Nintendo will be showing off in the future, but not during E3 2015…

After the initial announcement of Zelda: Triforce Heroes, Aonuma was featured in a developer discussion where they not only discussed the aforementioned game, but also officially announced Hyrule Warriors Legends‘ release in the US and Europe. Check out the full video above!

In the new Zelda multiplayer game that has been announced, Tri Force Heroes, there will be a singleplayer mode in which the player controls Link. This obviously presents a problem, as two other people are needed to play. The solution is this: the player can switch between Link and his two companions, which are referred to as “dolls.”

Are you excited that Nintendo is releasing a new multiplayer game for the Zelda franchise…

Just in time for the Zelda series’ anniversary, Hyrule Warriors: Legends will be releasing on the 3DS during the first quarter of 2016. I expected it to be released this fall, but apparently Nintendo and Koei Tecmo feel it will be a better to release it then.

Are you surprised by this choice of release date…
